"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know we have had yet another very successful event with the Inside Edge. There were - as you will have now gathered Brad - a few challenges thrown to us at the beginning - all to do with British Airways cancellations and delays which had a huge knock on effect on us on the ground with a third of the group being stuck in Johannesburg.
You will be pleased to hear that Nelson was as efficient and responsive as always and jumped into action securing us an activity, transportation and dinner for our stranded guests and even calling someone at BA to ensure our group was rebooked onto the Livingstone flight the next day - all before Amex in the UK had responded to Sandra! As we have always said - it really shows that you need a DMC on the ground not for when it is going right but for when it is going wrong! We all worked really well together as a team and it showed in the feedback from the clients who left the event very happy despite the tricky start.
It was the first time that I have met Leigh and I am sure you will also be pleased to know that she was also great to work not only on site but throughout the lead up to the event. She was always very responsive by email and nothing was too much trouble.

“On behalf of myself and HPE I cannot thank you and the team enough for your support over the last year. Pre-event communications were smooth and I appreciate the challenges both of us had in order to create the perfect itinerary within the clients budget. It turned out to be a perfect mix of culture and craziness at a relaxed pace and it was great that we could add in items like the Akihabara maid café which just made the groups day!
On-site both yourself and Yumi could not have been more welcoming, with the itinerary running to perfection throughout and everybody being on-time, for once!! The group absolutely loved Yumi and she was a huge factor to the trips success.
I have received 7/10 of the feedback forms already after only sending them out yesterday. Once received I will send you over the specific comments – but in short they are fantastic!
The only slightly negative comment, which I tend to agree with, is that they travelled a long way to get to Hakone and they only had 11 minutes on the mountain and did not get to see the temple. I did ask Yumi if this could be extended but was told it was not – we then had lots of free time at the bottom for shopping where the group just stood around.
Thank you too for sorting out the supplements at Fishbank, I really appreciated that."
