DATELINE MONDAY 9TH MAY 2022

Good morning I hope this Monday morning finds you fit, fine, wonderful and well.

Another glorious weekend of weather although when the clouds covered over the sun it was a wee bit chilly but not complaining it is after all still early May or late April.

Lots has happened since I last chatted to you via my exclusive Monday morning e mail which by the way is in its 20th Year. How do I know that simple Leyla is heading towards her 20th birthday the Monday morning e mail started when I told the world well the World of MM and Company clients, DMCs and friends that Mrs M was expecting our first child I was soooo excited to be a father, that excitement has somewhat slightly worn off to be honest with you.

What else has happened since my Monday morning e mail on 25th April? Ramadan is over and Eid al-fitr has been celebrated, if you celebrated Eid I hope it was a good one for you and your family.

Star Wars day came and went that was last Wednesday, May the Fourth (be with you)

So recently we have had the Easter Bank Holiday, May day bank holiday and very soon we will be celebrating the 70th Year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday and Friday 2nd and 3rd June 2022 then nothing till the end of August.

MM and Company news update

Japan

Geraint, James and the crew at The J Team DMC Japan have been celebrating Golden Week in Japan lots of Bank Holidays over there. Golden Week in Japanese Ōgon Shūkan, also called Ōgata Renkyū, is a series of four holidays closely spaced together and observed at the end of April and beginning of May in Japan. The four holidays are Shōwa Day on 29th April 29 in celebration of Emperor Hirohito 1926 - 1989 Constitution Day 3rd May in celebration of the post WW II constitution Greenery Day on 4th May in celebration of nature and green space and Children's Day 5th May in celebration of the health and prosperity of children.

Austria

Martin and Evelyn of e+o meetings and events DMC has told us that there is a celebration of the most famous painter of Austrian birth Gustav Klimt. The Klimt Immersive Experience is coming to London it is a 360º digital art exhibition that invites you to step into the world of the Austrian genius Gustav Klimt. It is brought to you by the organisers of a collection of widely successful exhibitions present in cities across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Mauritius

Stephane, Karl, Carine Delphine and the team at Hello Islands DMC Mauritius have been checking out the night life in the so called “St Tropez” of Mauritius in Grand Baie the high light is the cool, funky beach club N’ Joy on La Cuvette. The Hello Islands DMC team have also told us of a new paddleboard powered by a built in step machine so you get a work out as well as time on and sometimes in the warm crystal blue waters of Mauritius when you fall off the paddleboard.

And finally, yes lots has been happening in Mauritius, The Maritim Resort and Spa hotel has been refurbished during lock down and has also added sixty more fabulous guest rooms to its inventory.

France

Pascal, Enrica and the NACARA DMC team are all looking forward to The Olympics coming to Paris in 2024. They has told us that 1.4 billion Euros is being spent on cleaning up the River Seine to make it swimmable by the time The Olympics begin. Pascal tells me that the open water and triathlon events are scheduled to take place in the Seine so I guess they have to clean it up.
