Good morning on this All Hallows’ Eve, happy Halloween, wishing you a spooktastic day, having just written All Hallows Eve I wondered what is a “hallow” so I asked google, it is a saint or holy person.
Guy Fawkes this Saturday night, it’s all going on that’s for sure, then we will have the turning on of the London West End Christmas Lights that have been strung up and are ready to go and panic will set in or will it? With all the challenges of what is going on around the world, inflation, interest rate increases, war in Ukraine I wonder if Christmas will be a bit subdued this year or we will all just go for it and to heck with the consequences.
The Queen’s Speech this year will be the King’s Speech for the first time, as Bob Dylan would say “oh the times they are a changing”
So the clocks have gone back, its dark at 4PM, we are heading towards the grips of Autumn, the wind is blowing, the leaves are falling. This is the time I wish I was in South Africa where they are heading
towards Spring clearly the very best season of the year.
Hello Rishi, our new Prime Minister, it looks like from his first week in office he is a PM that wants to stay in the job. Jeremy Hunt is the Chancellor of the Exchequer with Rishi looking over his shoulder with a red pen marking all Jeremy’s work, now we all must start learning who is in the Cabinet and what they look like. I guess everyone recognises Suella Braverman our Home Secretary who was Home Secretary then she wasn’t Home Secretary and now she is once again Home Secretary, I wonder if she had to give back her leaving present.
Brazil has a new President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva who beat far-right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro in the presidential election. Lula has the top job again I guess he did a good job last time he was in power according to news reports he lifted millions of Brazilians out of poverty

I have just heard that Karl Braunecker of Hello Islands DMC Mauritius (formerly known as Connections DMC Mauritius) will be in town exhibiting at WTM on the Mauritius national stand
I will be going to WTM to see Karl hope to see you there.
I told Karl that there is a planned train strike throughout the week of WTM, not great news
A great friend of mine, as well as a friend of MM and Company will also be at WTM, Carlos Barros of Compass Brazil is launching his new Ground Operator and DMC company at WTM at Stand LA100

Travco DMC Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be there, stand information to be confirmed
Erica and Douglas of Mi Malta DMC will be on the Malta Stand
