DATELINE MONDAY 28TH MARCH 2022

Happy Spring Monday morning greetings, its official Spring is here, the clocks sprung forward on Sunday and true to the British weather system the sun has gone into hiding. What it is like where you are? Here in north west London but it’s a bit cloudy, however and there is always a however what as fabulous week of Spring weather we had last week. But do not, I repeat do not put your winter coat away just yet it is going to be cold this week, we got a taste of it yesterday, it was a bit chilly OK it was a lot chilly on Sunday.

This is he last week of March in fact April start this week too. Then only two weeks later and it is Easter.

Did you see he amazing photos of blossom in Swiss Cottage I posted on Facebook and Instagram I was going to say it was our little bit of Japan in the great city of London but that one blossom street cannot compare with the pink snow fall of cherry blossom that Japan is so rightly very famous for, having been to Japan three times I still want to go back in late March and early April to see the full force of the cherry blossom

Oscar night last night, no idea who won as I sent this out late Sunday evening.

Comeback from COVID and Common sense continues

Gatwick South Terminal reopened yesterday having been closed for two years, this is a GREAT sign that confidence is returning to the travel sector. To be fair we are seeing that on a daily basis although again to be fair the war in Ukraine has somewhat dented and slowed down the speed of the travel return into Europe for sure long haul is

EasyJet has become the latest airline to announce the removal of its requirement to wear masks onboard its flights where regulations allow. The UK-based carrier follows the lead of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, which both made a similar move last week to make onboard mask-wearing optional.EasyJet will no longer make mask-wearing mandatory for passengers and crew from yesterday 27th March, although it will still be compulsory when flying to and from some destinations where mask rules remain in place for flights. So when our clients are travelling to Budapest to meet up with Katinka, Imola and the team at COSOMOS DMC Budapest they will not have to wear masks on flights between the UK and Hungary.

Heathrow Airport has removed its mandatory mask policy, that means those travelling through Heathrow will no longer be required to wear a face covering.

Ericka, Helga, Claudia and the team at MI Malta DMC have reminded us that the “Malta MICE Incentive scheme” is still active for any group bookings for this year agreed and contracted up until June, 2022. This initiative is run by The Malta Tourist Association.

• €800 (Inc. Vat where applicable) per delegate = MTA Contribution of €150 (incl. Vat where applicable) per delegate.

• €600 (Inc. Vat where applicable) per delegate = MTA contribution of €75 (incl. Vat where applicable) per delegate.

If you want more information on this cost effective idea please let me know or contact the Mi Malta DMC team
