DATELINE MONDAY 20TH DECEMBER 2021

Helllllooooo is anyone out there in conference, meeting, incentive and event land? Hummm I didn’t think so 😊

Good morning I hope you are all fit and well ready for the festive season.

This is the last Monday morning e mail from me for this year at least, that a communal sigh of relief I hear? In my last Monday morning type e mail of 2020 I wrote” I hope 2021 is better than 2020” well it was a lot better until Omicron hit then it all sort of fell to bits, so I think I will employ the cut and paste function on e mail and just change the digits” I hope 2022 is better than 2021” however our order book of pending and confirmed groups for 2022 looks a lot better this December than it did last December. So I approach 2022 cautiously but again briming full of hope and optimism.

‘Ts the season to be jolly so I am not going to have a rant about what is happening in the world and how the UK has been isolated by a COVID ravaged Europe. Do they think it won’t be a similar situation in a few weeks where they are, if the countries who have banned UK citizens from travelling to their destination think that they are Omicron immune, just wait. It’s a coming babe it’s a coming. If Omicron has theme music it would be similar to the theme music from JAWS. Am I ranting? I might be ranting just a wee bit so I will stop.

My simple objective of this e mail is to say:-

THANK YOU for reading or not reading my Monday morning e mail as the case may be.

THANK YOU for your comments and feedback, mostly about my girls’ antics but very welcome just the same.

THANK YOU for the support and loyalty you have given to MM and Company and the DMCs MM and Company represent, even though there has not been much international business this year we have, I believe had our fair share of what has been out there, so again THANK YOU.

Finally may I take this opportunity to wish you, you colleagues, family and friends an AWESOME Christmas whatever shape it may be taking in your household. Mum and I together with my girls, my sister and her family will this year be together watching Her Majesty The Queen addressing the nation with a message of hope and resilience.

If Christmas is not your thing may I wish you a safe, successful, happy and above all HEALTHY (yes in caps 😊 shouting) New Year and may 2022 be the year we all go from strength to strength, never looking back but only forward, onward and upward to a fully vaccinated and COVID, DELTA, OMICRON free world.

I will be back in January 2022, COVID might be a killer and so might DELTA and OMICRON but it’s going have to try very, very hard indeed to kill off my Monday morning e mail, even then it won’t succeed.
