Dateline 24th March 2025

Good morning and welcome to yet another Monday morning I hope you are fit fine wonderful and well
Spring arrived last week just in time for the Spring Equinox which was last Thursday, it was such a lovely day then Friday arrived not as good as Thursday, Saturday was just OK with the occasional thunder and lightning storm in central London but not much rain, Sunday was in my opinion and let’s be honest we all have opinions was cold, just 12 degrees C I was wondering how long spring would last, I got my answer on Sunday, not long, I am totally and utterly done with winter.
LONDON HEATHROW closed OMG not a good look and not a good experience for some 200,000 passengers stuck around the Globe in places they did not want to be or stuck at home not being able to travel to where they had planned to go. Did the Heathrow management ever practise for this scenario or did it ever cross their mind that an electricity substation would go off line sending Heathrow off line.
PT or President Trump wants World peace however things are not going too well in fact he might just have started another war as the US launches airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen over Red Sea shipping attacks PT wants peace in Ukraine, but Prick Putin is not dancing to the Trump tune, PT’s Gaza plan seems to be faltering so I guess the Nobel Peace Prize is some way off for Donald J Trump
David Lamy Mr Incompetent Foreign Secretary saying in the House of Commons that Israel had broken International Law when that is clearly NOT the case, he needs to get his act together or let someone more capable take over. On the subject of incompetence, we have Robbing Rachel Reeves Chancellor of the Exchequer giving her Spring Statement (aka Budget)on Wednesday I wonder what she will clobber the British tax paying public with next.
Sadly, the War in Israel and Gaza seems to have started again with the breakdown of the ceasefire that lasted a little over two months, this resumption of more death and destruction could be easily avoided, all Hamas needs to do is to release the remaining 59 hostages it took captive on 7th October 2023. That would end the Gaza war, not sure what would end the Syria was against their own people, or the Lebanon war against Hezbollah or what would persuade the Houthis to stop lobbing missiles into the Red Sea. And all the while everything is calm, normal and carrying on in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Egypt.
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 532 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 59 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 59 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive. Hamas are holding on to the lifeless bodies of 35 dead people as bargaining chips, there is only one word for the kind of behaviour DISGUSTING well that I guess sums up Hamas simply disgusting individuals. Both sides are back at the negotiating table in Qatar another hot bed of dodgy people, let’s hope something positive will come out of the talks but it is not looking good due to the evil Hamas demanding conditions they know Israel cannot possibly agree to and in return the Israelis are playing hard ball by cutting off electricity and water to Gaza, hopefully the level headed people of Gaza if there are any will start to put pressure on Disgusting Hamas to free the hostages and give the population their normal pre 7th October 2023 life back.
Off the soap box now

Congratulations to Kirsty Coventry the first female and African person elected President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton who won his first FI race event driving a Ferrari, he won the sprint on Saturday, he didn’t win the Grand Prix in Chins that honour when to Australian Oscar Piastri in the McLaren second was our British Lando Norris in the other McLaren, third was another Brit George Russell in a Mercedes.
Talking of FI I was sad to hear that Eddie Jordan has died he was such an FI character, one of the good guys.
Boxing and steak grilling has also lost a great character this week, George Foreman has died
And finally the good news the holy farther Pope Francis has finally left hospital and is back in the Vatican although if you saw him on the News giving a blessing on Sunday he was clearly struggling to breathe, so The Pope blessed the people, the question is who blesses The Pope, answers on a postcard to the usual address, please make your cards The Pope 😊
