Dateline 17th March 2025

Happy St Patrick’s Day “the top of the morning to you” as they would say in Ireland the response of course is “and the rest of the day to yourself” wishing you a skin full of Guiness day to day
Naturally as tradition goes I simply have to talk about the weather, chilly is one description, freezing cold is another however the sun is shining there is some heat in it as well, the weather people tell me that by Tuesday the temperature will be well into the teens with a possibility of 15 or 16 degrees C can’t blooming wait, I am so fed up of being cold.
The news is varied as ever, a ship crash near Grimsby, will someone please tell me how in this day and age of modern radar technology in a huge open sea can one ship crash into another ship that is stationary and at anchor, it really does beggar belief.
PT or President Trump wants World peace however things are not going too well in fact he might just have started another war as the US Launches airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen over Red Sea shipping attacks PT wants peace in Ukraine, but Prick Putin is not dancing to the Trump tune, his Gaza plan seems to be faltering so I guess the Nobel Peace Prize is some way off for Donald J Trump
Seems like Sir Kier Starmer our Prime Minister and Leader is well and truly on the world stage when it comes to his Coalition of the willing to help Ukraine, however he has fallen way short indeed he has fallen off the stage with his approach to Isreal and Hamas. The one good thing does not outweigh the bad thing, he needs to do well in both theatres of war. Putin wants to wipe out Ukraine Hamas wants to wipe out Israel so come on Sir Kier buck your ideas up and get on the program.
I have said before we live in a very benign weather location no great storms, floods, tsunamis, or earthquakes (phew) did you see the images of Storm Alfred in Australia not a good look, there were horrific storm in Arkansas in the USA that killed fourteen people OMG.
Big relief felt on the International Space Station when the SpaceX capsule docked to enable two astronauts that went up to the space station for eight days and got stuck there for nine months due to their ride home developing a fault to finally come back down to earth to quote a well-known phrase.
Finally, from a News point of view three very objectionable men kidnapped an Israeli musician and kept him locked up in a remote Welsh Farm House until as ever the incompetent terrorists bungled the kidnap, the resourceful Israeli escaped to raise the alarm, dic*heads the three of them, all about to be locked up at the UK tax payers’ expense. Again if I was in charge I would send them off to Gaza as clearly this is where they aspire to live.
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 525 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 59 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 59 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive. Hamas are holding on to the lifeless bodies of 35 dead people as bargaining chips, there is only one word for the kind of behaviour DISGUSTING well that I guess sums up Hamas simply disgusting individuals. Both sides are back at the negotiating table in Qatar another hot bed of dodgy people, let’s hope something positive will come out of the talks but it is not looking good due to the evil Hamas demanding conditions they know Israel cannot possibly agree to and in return the Israelis are playing hard ball by cutting off electricity and water to Gaza, hopefully the level headed people of Gaza if there are any will start to put pressure on Disgusting Hamas to free the hostages and give the population their normal pre 7th October 2023 life back.
Off the soap box now
